Energy saving and power control

Being able to manage the air discharge volume from the cannon or from the fire valve allows to limit the energy consumptions and to regulate the power dispensed upon firing so to tare it according to actual requirements (from 0 to 8 bar with Pmax = 10bar) in valves equipped with FOM diaphragm.

 

Thanks to a careful management of the system, considerable economic benefits can be achieved along with the energy savings (an average of 3 bars per cannon saved at every shot) that bring nothing but environmental benefit: to dose the discharge power upon firing means using only the blast wave power spikes without energy wastes.

 

The compressed fluid discharge volume control upon firing is achieved thanks to the KYOTO partializing device.

 

The KYOTO partializing device performs two different functions depending on the model of fire valve or cannon that incorporates it:

 

energy savings

 

the left-over energy stored in the tank or /PPI network is not completely discharged when firing, but is reused for the cannon's next charge.
There can be savings up to 30% on the energy used to fill the tank at every refill.

power control

 

it makes it possible to regulate the amount of energy to be expended according to the actual requirements at the point of use. It is possible to verify up to 70% -80% of the certified power. The power control function integrates the energy saving function.
This function is feasible only with the/AIRFOM family cannons and with FOM diaphragm obturator valves.


The KYOTO partializing valves also allow the fire valve or cannon remote activation (max 9 metres) without suffering load losses. This solution allows the creation of systems in which the solenoid command valves are grouped in boxes: this makes the realisation of centralized systems that are, safe, orderly, easy to manage and maintain possible.

 

The valve models that already integrate the KYOTO device can be identified by the initials KY.

In general all the fire valves currently on the market can be equipped with the energy saving function by the coupling with KYOTO partializing valve in the variants 20 and 25.
