Clouds of dust during material handling, crushing and processing
Sector: MINES AND QUARRY

Generation of large quantities of dust during the crushing, handling and conveying phases and accumulation of material.

Solution

Installation of an ECOFOG misting system for the capture of dust generated by the handling, transport and crushing/shredding of the raw material. ECOFOG systems produce artificial fog by micronization (atomization) of water at low working pressures (2.5÷3bar air; 0.2÷1bar water): the fog produced captures the dust particles, incorporating them and weighing them down. In this way the dust particles fall back onto the material that generated them and are thus reintroduced into the production cycle. ECOFOG systems achieve high levels of micronization with minimal consumption of compressed air and water: the fog produced therefore does not increase the humidity level of the area.

The ECOFOG nebulization points are positioned in correspondence with the actual dust generation points, this allows obtaining a significant reduction in dust emission along the entire production line by intervening only with a limited number of nebulizers placed in strategic points of the production plant .

ECOFOG fixing systems allow quick assembly of the misting system. Designed for work in harsh conditions, the AIROX range nebulizers record excellent micronization performance and durability and low risk of clogging. Our customers comment: "I installed an ECOFOG system, and we forgot about the dust problem".
