BARRA PROJECT Case History

Blockages and deposits in the smoke duct
Sector: GLASS FACTORY
Product: OPEN
Problem

Presence of blockages and encrustations in the flue gas duct for heat energy recovery. Inefficiency of the recovery system.

Solution

Installation of AIRFLASH OPEN CRKY DN100 100Lt cannons in the critical points of fouling formation. The action of the AIRFLASH cannons, in firing cycles with frequencies defined in the field, cleaned the pipes and prevented the formation of new encrustations and the accumulation of ash, allowing the continuous operation of the plant. The OPEN cannon model is characterized by a metal alloy shutter system suitable for the corrosive environment and for use in the presence of fumes and hot gases: its maintenance is possible without removing the tank from the installation position, the firing head is in fact removable in a single block from the body.

The firing head selected for this specific application is also equipped with a CRKY dosing system (patented) which allowed the installation of the OPEN cannon even in critical points of the system where there were probes: by dosing the exhaust power it was guaranteed on one hand the cleaning action on both the ducts and the probes on the other hand preserved the correct functioning of the probes.

Discover the AIRFLASH OPEN aircannons: OPEN is the first product created in the AIRFLASH cannon range.

Easy maintenance: the OPEN valve can be removed in one block from the tank for maintenance; this means not having to decouple the tank from use.
